As the stressed out kind of person I am, I’m constantly looking for solutions to relax. Today I wanted to tell you about my 5 favorite practices.
My true love I’ve (re)became a fan of coloring!
In theory, it allows a moment of meditation, it is also a real Buddhist accessory. It also leaves free fields to personal expression. The coloring favors concentration, a harmonious breathing and breaks our flood of thoughts (not always joyful).
In practice, and especially, for me, the mandalas are a small moment of escape. I’m not a great artist and often when I finish one of these little circles, the result is absolutely… shitty! But it doesn’t matter, the moment that coloring provides is pleasant.
Hard day? Back ache? Want a massage?
No need to wait until your partner, sister, friend decides to massage you! This is well known, count only on yourself! Here are some simple, tested and approved ways to self-massage. And besides, there, right away, in front of your computer, you can start!
Pamper your toes! Before or after applying your favorite color varnish, enjoy to deeply massage your feet. In Chinese medicine, foot can help relieve the whole body.
You actually massaging it every day to apply cosmetics. What if you made last the pleasure ?
This massage can be practiced in the morning to wake up the skin or during the day for a relaxing break. All parts of your face can be massaged. The skull as well, there are even special accessories to self-massage the skull, and frankly it’s a killer!
– Neck and shoulders
For me, it is clearly the most painful area after a stressful day. It is possible to massage yourself and relax yourself your trapeze, an area where tensions, fears, anxiety are anchored.
For me, the effect of well-being is immediate.
Yoga, meditation and breathing
When emotions overwhelm us or when we are stressed or anxious, we have “short breath”. Bad breathing can have an impact on our overall condition, resulting in: nervous and physical fatigue, digestive problems, lack of concentration …etc.
Relaxation is often made of conscious breathing in the abdomen: just stretch and breathe deeply, concentrating on inspiration and exhalation. It is important to breathe “with full lungs” and not superficially.
Before an interview, an exam, or any other stressful time, take three great inspiration: Inhale 5 seconds – Pause – Exhale 5 seconds. It is a very good exercise.

Colors and lights / Chromotherapy
Some everyday situations, including colors, make us feel very positive emotions for example a tree in bloom, a beautiful blue sky, a sunset, a clear sea … etc.
Chromotherapy is also associated with mandalas. You will find “thematic” boxes of mandalas with colored pencils of the same color range.
Plants can have a calming effect such as: melissa, passionflower, chamomile, linden, orange blossom and verbena. They can be used in infusion or diffusion.
In large areas, you can find these plants quite easily.
I hope that you liked my beloved techniques! Do not hesitate to share your questions and impressions.
